What Is Hannah's Hugs ?
The Mission
Hannah's Hugs was founded and is supported by families, friends, physicians and many others affected by childhood brain tumors, either physically or emotionally. The strength of unconditional love and trust that all felt who knew Hannah, continues in this purposeful goal to help children battling cancer.

In an effort to help ease the minds of parents and make a child smile, this foundation was created. By offering information, support and some comforts of home, we can do just that for these wonderful people. Hannah's Hugs is made possible by the donations and a lot of hard working supportive volunteers who make several trips to Childrens Memorial Hospital, Chicago, throughout the year. At present, Hannah's Hugs is divided into three divisions :

Hug's from Hannah
With the generosity of local stores and personal donations, we deliver care packages of "hugs" to the moms and dads of admitted children to the Oncology and Neurology units. So often families are in a rush to the hospital and aren't able to pack tolitries, calling cards, postal stamps, shower gels, a roll of coins ... etc... information and support links enclosed as well ... some very valuable items when sitting alone in your child's room.

Blankets for Babies
A warm hug given to children in honor of our angel, Hannah. Beautifully knit blankets offered to snuggle into at night. Made with love and care by a wonderful lady named Grandma Sharon Hoen. Special thoughts and prayers wrapped in a blanket of love from our family to theirs ... attached always a small bedtime prayer that I said at night with Hannah. Over the past two years we have had several blankets mailed for us to take along with the knit ones. Such a wonderful gift to give these families.

Bear Hugs from Hannah
This is out newest addition !
With the Hugs caring generousity of Motorola, a donation of 250 bears will be given to the children at the hospital. How special to have a stuffed friend to hold onto and share the many procedures and scarey moments these courageous children encounter every day during their battle for life ... beyond cancer.

In addition to the above mentioned activities, Hannah's Hugs conduct several PBTF(Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation) fundraisers throughout the year.
