Lost In Alaska
Bud Abbott and Lou Costello heat up the artic freeze when they save a man from drowning and almost wind up getting "iced" themselves. Their crazy escapades take them deep into the Yukon when they discover the man they saved from drowning is not only worth a mint but is also the target of just about every hit man in the territory ! When ex-sheriff "Nugget" Joe McDermott (Tom Ewell) tries to drown himself, firemen Bud and Lou rescue him from a watery grave. Joe enlists their help in winning the love of a dance hall girl named Rosette, who is the source of his woe. Meanwhile it seems that just about everybody in town has a beef with Joe, and they won't rest until they gun him down. To add to the madness, Rosette's casino boss has devised a plan to make her marry Joe, then kill him off, marry Rosette and take the fortune.The classic comedic energy of Abbott and Costello combined with the wild antics involved in trying to protect the most hated man in Alaska make this zany comedy one of the funniest and most memorable cinematic journeys ever to mush through the Yukon.
