Jack And The Beanstock


The immortal Bud Abbott and Lou Costello give this favorite fable a zany new twist when Costello nods off while babysitting a little boy abd enters the story which then shifts into color like The Wizzard of Oz. He casts himself as Jack and Abbott as Dinklepuss, the butcher who trades him five magic beans for his favorite cow, and greedily follows Jack up the beanstock in search of a goose that lays golden eggs. But Jack has a more noble goal : to rescue Princess Eloise (Shaye Cogan), who's been kidnapped by the man-eating Giant (Buddy Baer), and bring her back down to wed Prince Arthur (James Alexander). The boys are in for plenty of laughs and music in this colorful comedy for the whole family, directed by Bud and Lou's longtime collaborator in film and television, Jean Yarborough (In Society, Lost In Alaska)>
