Lost In A Harem

The immortal buffoonery of Bud Abbott and Lou Costello is garnished with the diverse talents of singer Marilyn Maxwell and the big band swing of Jimmy Dorsey's orchestra in this desert romp - which features an array of Forties songs, lavish production numbers, and a high dose of comedy insanity.
Peter Johnson (Abbott) and Harvey Garvey (Cosrello), bumbling magicians stranded in the desert domain of Barabosha, are asked by handsome Prince Ramo (John Conte) to help him regain the throne from wicked Uncle Nimatly (Doglas Dumbrillio) a mesmorizing type who even has the whole Jimmy Dorsey band under his spell ! The perilious task takes them deep inside the sultan's inner sanctum, and there the madcap adventure really begins.

Directed by Charles Riesner (Charlie Chaplin's scenarist on classic films like "The Kid"), this scimitar-and-oasis spoof showcases Abbott & Costello at their zany, endearing best.
