Max investigates a barber shop that is a KAOS front. He finds a plot to rob a bank, so Max goes undercover as safecracker Jimmy Ballantine. The real Ballantine attempts to show Max how to open safes, but Max handles those lessons as well as his earlier pool lessons. KAOS then forces Max to break into the Federal Reserve Bank, or at least he thinks he does.

This episode was rewritten at the last minute to put Max into bandages, since Don Adams had emergency dental surgery that swelled his face. The character was named after Jimmy Valentine, a real-life safecracker.
