Trying to elude two American detectives who are on his own tail, Joe stumbles onto Harry, who's trying to hatch an elaborate silver mine scam. Joe accidentally becomes the next goodwill ambassador and the unwitting dupe of Harry's scheme when Dagmar, a beautiful Mexican singer (Luba Malina) slips him a speech extolling Mexico's abundant mineral resources.
Just when the American detectives catch up with the expatriate swindlers, Joe and Harry slip into a ring where Joe is chased by an enraged bull to the delight of the ringside audience.
