Max survives a murder attempt, but CONTROL tells everyone he died so that Max can catch the Blaster, who blows up government buildings. While mourning Max, 99 takes an assignment guarding Antonio Carlos Carioca, who is really the Blaster. Max, disguised as an old woman, returns to defeat the Blaster.
