CONTROL sets KAOS up to believe the Max is carrying a new code vital to CONTROL communications. He is to occupy KAOS long enough for Agent X to reach Greenland with the new code. KAOS kidnaps him and uses several methods, except torture, to try and extract the new code from him. The KAOS agents fight amongst themselves, allowing Max to live long enough to be rescued. KAOS Agent Luden many years later had a recurring part in Seinfeld as Uncle Leo.
