First Parish Church Unitarian Universalist in Cooperation with Amazon.com |
Purposes
This web page is provided to provide our members and friends with a convenient
way to purchase books and music while supporting the programs of the church.
Our church earns a commission from all books sold by Amazon.com as a result
of links made from this page, so please bookmark (pun intended) this page
and use our store every time you shop at Amazon.com.
Amazon.com currently stocks 3 million book and music titles - at or below
list price. So if you are looking for a book or CD, you have come to the
right place. The Amazon.com web site is fully searchable by title, author,
and subject. It includes reviews and suggests titles based on customer orders.
How it Works
Every time you buy a book at Amazon.com, as long as you link to Amazon.com
from this page, our church earns a commission of five
percent. Of course, if you cancel your order, the commission is not
earned.
To begin shopping at Amazon.com, simply click on the Amazon.com logo at
the top of this page, and place your order. You will need a major credit card.
The Amazon.com site is a secure web site, so you can shop with confidence.
Your credit card information will not be shared with anyone, not even the
First Parish Web Weavers!
Our church earns even greater commissions (up to fifteen percent!) if you
order one of our recommended titles. For now, recommended titles will be
listed on this page. As the list grows, we will open additional pages in
this on-line store. If you choose to order a recommended title, please go
to Amazon.com directly from the link provided for that title.
What You Can Do (Besides Shopping)
Would you like to have more people at church to talk to about your favorite
books and music? Would you like to support the church at the same time? Yes?
Then recommend a title to our Web Weavers. Try to choose titles that you
think will interest others in the congregation. You can suggest titles to
James Hayes-Bohanan by e-mail or by passing him a note at church. The recommendation
should include the title, author or musician, and a sentence or two about
why you are recommending it. Ideally, you could recommend the title before
buying your own copy, so that we get the added commission from your purchase,
too!
